Situated in Northeast Florida, Clay County lies southwest of the City of Jacksonville and west of historic St. Augustine. Clay County’s entire eastern border is nestled along the banks of the scenic St. Johns River and miles of undeveloped woodlands dot our interior.
The open lands of Clay County make it common for animals to find their way into people’s homes and living spaces. While it may feel like the animals are intruding on us, we’ve actually intruded on them first. Regardless, in many cases when animals come into our living spaces, this can cause dangerous living conditions and the situation should be remedied.
“With regard to the “blind man” review: It was my uncle and yes, he is blind. What his roommate did not say was – Quick Catch completely worked with my Uncle L and my family to resolve this issue. Ryan was quick to respond to our inquiry and very quick to resolve the issue and miscommunication. My family and my Uncle L sincerely appreciate his efforts to remove the armadillo and his prompt response when we had questions regarding Quick Catch’s services. He is an individual of integrity and high moral standards and he does a great job removing nuisance wildlife. We highly recommend him and his company.” – Gwen Baker
Clay County was created on December 31, 1858, from a section of Duval County. Its name is in honor of Henry Clay,a famous American statesman, member of the United States Senate.
Clay County was once a popular destination for tourists visiting from the northern states. The therapeutic, warm springs and mild climate were major draws for visitors. Steamboats brought them to various hotels in Green Cove Springs – the St. Elmo, Clarendon and the Oakland.
Clay County is also a popular choice of residence for military personnel stationed on bases in nearby Duval County (NAS Jacksonville, NS Mayport, and, before it closed, NAS Cecil Field).
